Ingredients;
1 1/2 pounds cooked lobster meat cut into bite size pieces (freshly cooked or cooked)
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
salt and
Pepper 🌶️ to taste
4-split top hot dog buns or New England-style buns
additional melted butter for toasting the buns
lettuce leaves (optional, for serving)
Procedure:
In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, melted butter and lemon juice. Mix everything gently until the lobster meat is evenly coated with the dressing.
Add chopped parsley for flavor and color, if desired. Season with salt and pepper. Be careful not to over season the lobster to bring out the natural sweetness of the lobster.
Heat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Brush the outside of the split top buns with melted butter. Toast the buns on a griddle until lightly golden and warm inside. This creates a delicious buttery flavor and great texture.
Once the buns are toasted, you can garnish with lettuce leaves if desired. The lettuce provides a refreshing crunch and acts as a bed for the lobster filling.
Liberally stuff the buns with the prepared lobster filling, heaping if desired. We want to fill each bun with delicious bean paste. Serve lobster rolls immediately while warm. Enjoy classic New England seafood dishes with coleslaw and potato chips.
Enjoy our homemade American-style lobster rolls. A fun snack that's perfect for summer gatherings or when you just want to enjoy the taste of the sea.
